On April 9, 2025, the iconic and exclusive Círculo del Liceu in Barcelona opened its doors to a sold-out audience for a truly unforgettable charity concert in support of Fundación Claros. The evening featured the captivating voice of soprano Marcelina Román, who performed as the featured soloist in a program dedicated to hope, healing, and the unifying power of music.
Fundación Claros provides crucial medical care to individuals suffering from hearing loss, including diagnostics, surgery, and auditory prosthetics. The foundation also carries out humanitarian medical missions in economically underprivileged regions and offers specialized training for young doctors in otorhinolaryngology.
The carefully curated program included works by Frédéric Chopin as well as arias from Verdi’s Don Carlo, Bellini’s Norma, and other operatic masterpieces. Marcelina Román’s performance was marked by emotional depth, vocal brilliance, and exquisite stylistic precision.
At the piano was the extraordinary Gayane Mnatsakanyan (@pianistagaya), whose sensitive accompaniment and artistic finesse brought a rare intimacy and warmth to the entire evening.
